Our story
ORBrain didn't start in a boardroom. It started at the scrub sink โ watching knowledge that should have been written down walk out the door with every shift change.
Laine Ramsey is an OR travel nurse who has spent her career in high-acuity surgical environments at leading academic medical centers across the country. She has spent years watching the same problem repeat itself in every hospital she has worked in: critical surgical knowledge trapped in impermanent places.
Spiral notebooks. Laminated cards that haven't been updated in two years. The senior nurse who's been there for fifteen years and holds everything in her head. The new grad who asks the same question three times because there's nowhere reliable to look it up.
ORBrain is the product she wished existed on her first day. A system that knows every surgeon's preferences, updates in real time when something changes, and answers any question in the time it takes to scrub in.
The platform is live in its first pilot institution. The technology is proprietary and protected. The mission is clear: make every OR โ regardless of hospital size, specialty, or staffing model โ run with the institutional knowledge of its best nurse.
"The OR doesn't have a memory problem. It has a knowledge infrastructure problem. ORBrain is the infrastructure."
